Beyond the Byline

My writing career spans over a thousand articles and four published books, including a pioneering science fiction novel set in Karachi. Explore my work across print, fiction, and non-fiction.

My writing journey began with a blank page and a mind full of ideas. There was no grand plan – just a stubborn goal to turn thoughts into words. There were cringe-worthy drafts and moments of pure doubt, but every sentence taught me that clarity comes with practice, voice emerges through mess, and stories demand honesty.

Articles in Print

Muhammad Omar Iftikhar has been a prolific contributor to Pakistan’s leading print and digital media publications since 2004. Over the past two decades, his diverse body of work—spanning more than 1,000 articles—has explored a wide array of genres, including literature, culture, technology, and societal trends, captivating readers with thought-provoking content for the curious mind. His insightful writing has appeared in prominent outlets, reflecting his ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

Science Fiction Novel:

When the advanced Taleyken race from Planet Arplon launches a mission to Earth, their arrival ignites a clash of civilizations, forcing humanity to confront its deepest divisions. Blending social allegory with interstellar intrigue, the novel explores themes of identity, power, and what it means to coexist.

Sci-Fi Sports STORY

Player AI (2024)

When Pakistan’s cricket captain collapses months before the T20 World Cup, the nation turns to cutting-edge technology for salvation. Player AI delivers a gripping sci-fi twist on sports drama, following the controversial debut of an android designed to perfectly replicate the fallen star. As the synthetic player takes the field, the story explores humanity’s uneasy relationship with AI, asking: Can machines truly replace human spirit in the world’s most passionate sport?
